I'm having a network adapter problem, and in examining my Device Manager I notice the yellow question mark and exclamation mark next to Other Devices/PCI Universal Serial Bus. When I check Properties I get the message 'The drivers for this device are not installed (code 28). To reinstall....'
So my questions are
1. What is a PCI Universal Serial Bus?
2. What is Code 28 and what does it mean?
3. With no drivers installed for this device, what effect will it have on my computer?
4. Is this device needed for the network card to work?
This is a 4 year old PC running Win98SE.
