in my opinoin the UMTS funktion from WRT54G3G does't work with DD-WRT, this is the topic from these thread.
try to install the old firmware from linksys over the administration interface from DD-WRT.

then is there no way and your WRT54G3G is out off order for UMTS use.
try to buy a new flash rom directly from linksys and change it. i'll think there is no other way.

Maybe hex edit original firmware and remove header = all bytes before HDR0. Then use GUI of tftp to upload.

Hello BrainSlayer!
Many people would be really appreciate, if you will support the UMTS/3G function in your distro! I think, the 'new' mobile internet-access technology will be a strong alternative to existing wired solutions! This is not only a technology for a small circle of users - that's what i think.
Maybe you'll find some time for this topic
Best wishes!

Indeed, if only preliminary support at first, IE something like 'pon' and 'poff' scripts in ubuntu, and then later the GUI for management.. But first I'd like to see flawlessly working v24 and then continuin addition of new features or so. That way we don't end up having 'final' with bloats of new features which are not working =)

i know, what you meant -- just the little scripts would be so nice! (maybe with these there's much back-engineering work involved. BrainSlayer knows )
